This is an interesting article on how the body develops internally. There is a condition called situs inversus where the internal organs are switched. The heart is on the right side and all other organs are reversed as well. I have seen 2 cases of these in my career, and as for adjusting the spine it doesn’t make much difference, it does affect how we put of the patient’s x’rays. I had to be extra careful to put them on the viewbox correctly.
