The Buzz about LLLT (Low Level Light Therapy)

Have you heard the “buzz” about Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT), or LED (light emitting diode) light therapy, as it is also known?

This exciting therapy uses red and near-infrared wave lengths of light to help the body reduce inflammation and heal both chronic and acute conditions.

Red and near-infrared are the range of wave lengths that help us relax around a campfire. At various times during a session, the flexible pads that contain the diodes will feel pleasantly warm against the skin but never hot.

This article from the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) does a great job of explaining the science behind LLLT and summarizing the results of numerous studies on the technology.

The “takeaway”: after reviewing 4,000 published studies on LLLT, the NIH agrees that it is beneficial in reducing pain and inflammation and aiding in recovery from injuries.

We are proud to offer this technology in our practice for an extremely affordable cost.  15 or 30 minute sessions start at $15 individually and we offer packages that drop the per-session cost to $10 or less.  We want people to try this treatment and experience the benefits for themselves.
